Fran Healy - Debut Solo Album Released

Fran Healy is releasing his debut solo album through his own outfit Wreckord Label.

"Wreckorder" sees the singer and songwriter of the beloved Scottish band, Travis, striding a new creative path that allows his incomparable songs to shine in an altogether different light. The tunesmith behind two "Album Of The Year" Brit Awards and responsible for such classics as "Sing," "Driftwood," and "Why Does It Always Rain On Me," Healy set out to craft an intimate series of recordings trying to capture what he felt was sometimes misplaced or lost in translation in the journey from Dictaphone to recording studio.

Band of Skulls - Deluxe Edition

British band Band of Skulls have announced they'll be releasing a new Deluxe version of their album 'Baby Darling Doll Faced Honey', due out 20 September 2010.

There will ne new artwork and five extra tracks - 'Light Of The Morning (Live from the Troubadour)', 'I Know What I Am (XFM Session)', 'Fires (XFM Session)', 'Blood (XFM Session)' and 'Fires (Dimbleby & Capper Mix)'.

Meanwhile, the Southampton trio are set for a one-off date at London's Forum on October 7, and will release a new single, 'Fires', on September 13.

Dethklok on Tour with Mastodon

Dethklok are currently touring with metal savants Mastodon, metalcore veterans Converge, and Oakland's answer to Motörhead, High on Fire.

As part of the The Adult Swim Presents tour, the "world's greatest cultural force" takes the stage for a 34-date North American tour, with Metalocalypse creator and Dethklok songwriter Brendon Small playing guitar and singing. Drummer Gene Hoglan is joined on stage by guitarist Mike Keneally and bassist Bryan Beller, while the cartoon band's videos play in perfect sync with the band live on stage.
